About the Program
The MSc Cyber Law and Ethics at Abertay University develops advanced knowledge of cyber law, policy and ethics, with a focus on digital governance and disruptive technologies. Students explore digital rights, privacy, cybercrime, international cyber conflict, online harms, regulation and the relationship between law, ethics, policy and technology. The programme also develops leadership, decision-making, critical thinking and independent research skills.
Subject Requirements
- 4-year Bachelor's degree with minimum 60% or 2.6 GPA on a 4-point scale from Abertay-listed Bangladeshi institutions.
- OR
- BSc Engineering with minimum 55% or 2.2 GPA, where awarded by IEB or an eligible private university accredited by IEB with independent research included in the course.
Academic requirements
- Minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent
- Relevant background in Law, Social Sciences, Politics, Cybersecurity, Technology, Policy or related subjects preferred.
- Applicants without appropriate subjects may be considered if they have relevant industry experience.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic with Minimum Score 7.0 overall
- No component below 6.5
- University-accepted equivalent English qualifications may also be considered.

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
