About the Program
The MSc Environment and Energy is a multidisciplinary programme combining scientific, technical, managerial and entrepreneurial topics related to environmental management and energy. Students develop knowledge of bioenergy production, utilisation and management, environmental management, sustainable energy and relevant policies and regulations. The programme also develops research skills through a Master's dissertation and provides the opportunity to apply for an industrial placement as an alternative to the research project, subject to availability and selection.

Academic requirements
- Minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science or Social Sciences.
- Applicants with non-standard qualifications may be considered individually based on prior study, work experience, professional qualifications and references.
- For Bangladesh:
- 4-year Bachelor's degree with minimum 60% or 2.6 GPA from listed institutions.
- BSc Engineering with minimum 55% or 2.2 GPA may also be accepted where the qualification meets Abertay's stated IEB/accreditation requirements.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic with Minimum Score 6.0 overall
- No component below 5.5
- PTE Academic: 59 overall with minimum 59 in each component
- Duolingo English Test: 105 overall with 95 in each element
Additional Requirements
- Interest in environmental management, sustainable energy and renewable energy
- Relevant industry experience may be considered where previous academic study does not cover the appropriate subjects
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Industrial placement opportunity available competitively as an alternative to the research project
