About the Program
Professional Bar training designed to develop the advocacy, drafting, conference, opinion-writing and litigation skills required for practice as a barrister.
Subject Requirements
- Qualifying law degree or recognised law conversion qualification
Academic requirements
- Normally minimum 2:1 qualifying law degree, or non-law degree plus PGDL/CPE/GDL
- 2:2 may be considered at BPP discretion where there are extenuating circumstances
English Language Requirements
- IELTS 7.5 in each skill (or accepted equivalent satisfying BSB/BPP requirements)
Additional Requirements
- Membership of an Inn of Court required. Overseas applicants who completed a law conversion for the Bar may also need a BSB Certificate of Academic Standing. January 2027 is London Central (Holborn) only.
