About the Program
A professional legal-practice LLM designed around preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1 and SQE 2) and the development of solicitor practice skills.
Subject Requirements
- Minimum UK 2:2 undergraduate degree in law, or any undergraduate degree plus GDL/CPE/PGCert Foundations in Law or equivalent.
Academic requirements
- Bangladesh: normally a four-year Bachelor's degree with GPA 2.9/4.0 for UK 2:2 equivalency, or a Master's degree. Course-specific subject requirements also apply.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each component. For applicants from Bangladesh, a UKVI-approved SELT is normally compulsory unless the published LJMU exception applies to previous study at University of Dhaka, BUET or North South University.
Additional Requirements
- Campus: Mount Pleasant. Bangladesh applicants must complete an LJMU Pre-CAS interview before CAS. Eligible Bangladesh applicants may qualify for the £4,000 Postgraduate Regional Scholarship, unless excluded by the scholarship rules. IMPORTANT: LJMU's January 2027 intake page lists this programme, but the individual 2026/27 course page currently shows September/February starts and states that international applications are no longer accepted for 2026 entry. Publish is therefore set to No pending confirmation of the February 2027 international route. This programme is excluded from LJMU's Postgraduate International Achievement and Regional Scholarships.
