The MSc Nursing Studies Adult (Pre-Registration) at Glasgow Caledonian University is designed for graduates from different academic backgrounds who wish to pursue a professional career in adult nursing. The 28-month programme combines advanced nursing knowledge, clinical practice, patient-centred care and healthcare leadership. Students develop essential skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, nursing interventions, healthcare communication and evidence-based practice. Approximately 50% of the programme involves compulsory clinical placements in hospitals, community healthcare settings and other healthcare organisations. Students also gain practical experience using advanced simulation facilities. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as Adult Registered Nurses, preparing them for careers within the NHS and other healthcare organisations.
