About the Program
The BSc (Hons) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with International Year Two at the University of Stirling International Study Centre is designed to prepare international students for progression into the third year of an undergraduate degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The programme develops technical knowledge and practical skills in programming, data science, statistical analysis, research methods and computing technologies. Students study programming languages such as Python and Java, data processing, analytical problem-solving and academic research. The course combines subject-specific modules with academic English and study skills to help students adapt to the UK higher education environment. Upon successful completion and achievement of the required progression conditions, students continue to Year 3 of BSc (Hons) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Stirling, preparing for careers in data science, artificial intelligence, software development, data analytics and technology-related industries.
Subject Requirements
- Recognised International Foundation qualification
- OR successful completion of the first year of a relevant undergraduate degree
- OR A-Level equivalent qualification in suitable subjects
- Mathematics: Pass required
- Computing, Mathematics, Science or related academic background preferred
- Relevant prior knowledge in programming or quantitative subjects beneficial
- Other recognised international qualifications considered individually
Academic requirements
- Recognised International Foundation with suitable academic grades
- OR completion of Year 1 of a recognised Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- OR recognised A-Level equivalent qualification in suitable subjects
- Mathematics: Pass required
- Relevant Computer Science, Computing, Mathematics or Science background preferred
- Bangladesh HSC alone: Direct International Year Two eligibility not confirmed
- Minimum Bangladesh CGPA: No fixed course-specific threshold publicly verified
- Academic qualifications assessed individually by the International Study Centre
- Minimum Age: 17, subject to intake-specific rules
